Our Special TDOR Commemoration will Feature a Special Early Presentation of Roz Esposito's Broadway-Bound Musical "Living Over the Rainbow"
In this of all years, the Lavender Democrats, and our partners at the Frida Theater, are committed to a large, highly visible Transgender Day of Remembrance, Thursday, November 20, 2025. Come join us to commemorate and celebrate the transgender lives we have lost and help us build a better, hatefree world. Our event will feature hymns, an LED candlelight vigil and a very special video of Roz Esposito's new musical "Living Over the Rainbow". Roz is a Lavender Democrat, as well as a playwright, lyricist and composer. She wrote and scored "Living Over the Rainbow" as a tribute to our fallen transgender Angel, Latisha King, who was murdered by a middle school classmate in Oxnard California in 2008. The video Roz has shared with us is an early, fully acted and musically-performed presentation of this Broadway-bound show that we are grateful to share--in it's first ever public viewing. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the LGBTQ Center OC. The love we generate will be shared with the entire queer community of Orange County.
