Wyoming once stood as a beacon of progress in the United States, leading the way in women's rights. In 1869, Wyoming became the first territory to grant women the right to vote, earning its place as a pioneer in the suffrage movement.
In 1925, Wyoming again made history when Nellie Tayloe Ross became the first woman elected governor in the United States. Though her tenure was brief, her legacy endures as a testament to breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations of leaders.
Each year, we honor that legacy with the Nellie Tayloe Ross Dinner and Silent Auction, the Wyoming Democratic Party’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The evening combines delicious food, lively conversation, and camaraderie among Democrats from across the state. It’s more than a night out—it’s a chance to support the values we share and the work we believe in: protecting democracy.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Thank you for making this event -and our mission- possible.
