The Chris "Slo Motion" Costello Fund
In an ongoing effort to help the creative legend of Chris “Slo Motion” Costello live forever, the fund is intended to help inspire future videographers and photographers develop their careers. From capturing Kobe Bryant coaching his daughter’s travel basketball team in LA to helping the Hoop Bus become a landmark of America’s Basketball Culture, it was ultimately the integrity of Chris’ work that allowed him to have immense success at such a young age. Through this fund in Slo Motion’s honor, we hope to be able to jump start the career of the next Chris Costello.
Now, you might ask: How does the fund work?
Simple: At this year’s 10th annual Let it Fly Classic, all videographers who come through the gym capturing content at what is now considered Boston’s most elite Hoop Holiday will automatically enter our contest. Our non profit’s panel of judges will award the event’s best videographer and Photogrpaher. Whoever we deem as having produced the most dope content will win a grand prize. That grand prize is dependent on how much money we raise through this fund. Any and ALL donations are truly appreciated by the Costello Family
Chris once said that the ultimate privilege of life is the opportunity to “Care More and Try Harder.” Let’s take advantage of this special opportunity to inspire the highest quality of work and next generation of all star artists.
The Let It Fly Classic will be taking place on August 9th, 2025 at Chelsea High School.
