Justin J. Pearson is a proven progressive leader who fights for his constituents, no matter what it takes. His protest against government complacency in the face of mass shootings led to his expulsion from the legislature in 2023. And it helped lead to strengthened background checks in TN.
Pearson has not only faced off against the establishment in the state government, he's gone toe-to-toe with massive energy corporations, helping to block an oil pipeline that was planned through predominantly Black communities.
