Breaking news: A court has gutted access to mifepristone, an abortion pill.
The Fifth Circuit ruled that mifepristone can only be dispensed by a provider in-person—creating unnecessary barriers that will impact abortion access for people across the country, including in states where abortion is protected.
The majority of abortions in the United States use medication abortion, and one in four abortions are provided via telehealth using medication abortion. Anti-abortion extremists have been targeting mifepristone for this exact reason—and now they’ve made it harder for people to access the medications they need for their health care.
Now more than ever, fighting back on mifepristone restriction is critical. We’ve launched the Abortion Pill Defense Fund to turn our outrage into direct resistance and systemic action.
Your contribution to the Abortion Pill Defense Fund will go directly toward fighting back against the anti-abortion extremists’ attacks on mifepristone, and protecting our fundamental rights from further erosion.
