If the Year of the Snake was about preparation, the Year of the Horse is about taking action.
In the coming year, in addition to our existing programs and advocacy, we are intentionally deepening our community programming with PIVOT Book Reads and PIVOT Viet Eats, thus equipping our chapters with additional tools to spark discussion and foster community. Combined with our monthly virtual Community Connects, open to all, we are well-positioned to inform and mobilize participants, especially in conjunction with our Viet Fact Check and policy initiatives.
Viet Fact Check will expand through in-house journalism and reporting that speaks directly to Vietnamese Americans. Additionally, we are launching nonpartisan community conversations to deeply understand the priorities of our community based on their lived experiences. Through our work this year, PIVOT will continue to be an important source of — and will greatly expand — connections, resources, and information that empower Vietnamese Americans be informed participants in culture and democracy.
