2026 NW Iowa Dinner with Democrats

Area Democrats, disillusioned Republicans, and independent voters are invited to the Northwest Iowa Dinner with Democrats on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. The event will be held at the Terrace View Event Center at 230 St. Andrews Way in Sioux Center, and is hosted by the Democratic parties of Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury counties.


The keynote speaker will be Dave Muhlbauer, who is on the ticket as Lieutenant Governor with Rob Sand, Democratic candidate for Iowa Governor.


Also speaking and available to mingle with guests will be other Northwest Iowa Democratic candidates, including:

  • Dave Dawson, U.S. House, District 4
  • John Norwood, Iowa State Treasurer
  • Catelin Drey, Iowa Senate, District 1
  • Mike Frantz, Iowa Senate, District 3
  • Shawn Olorundami, Iowa House, District 1
  • Stephanie Steiner, Iowa House, District 5

Doors will open at 5:30 PM, and the program will start at 6:30.


Individual tickets are $30 per person. The RSVP deadline is Friday, Sept. 18, though a limited number of tickets can also be purchased at the door.


The dinner will be catered by Shari's Kitchen and Catering in Rock Rapids and will feature roast beef and grilled chicken, cheesy hash browns, California blend vegetables, fresh fruit, a dinner roll with butter, and Better-Than-Anything Cake.

Beverages will include ice water and lemonade, as well as drinks that can be purchased at a cash bar.


If tickets are still available the night of the dinner, they may be purchased via cash. There won’t be the ability to take credit or debit cards at the site.


Your contribution and presence will support the Democratic parties of Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury counties.
