Sumud (Arabic: صمود), which translates literally to “steadfastness,” is a Palestinian cultural and political value that emphasizes the endurance of resistance and hope above all else.
We need to ground ourselves in sumud now more than ever, as Gaza and people across Palestine continue to experience genocide that is perpetuated by Israel and backed by the United States.
At Pal Legal, we are proud that our work helps ensure that those speaking out against these atrocities in the US are not alone. We need your support so we can continue seeding sumud for our movement to endure.
Here’s what your donation can do:
$1,000 — 5 client stories are placed in media outlets, and shared via engaging content on social media to amplify their experiences.
$500 — 2 students facing university conduct hearings for their speech are represented by a staff attorney.
$250 — 10 people in need of legal support are connected with a trusted lawyer in our network.
$100 — A client gets training with our communications staff on how to effectively tell their story to the media.
$50 — A person seeking help meets with one of our lawyers to share their story and determine a course of action.
