#WeKeepUsSafe: Jackson, Mississippi
Communities in Jackson, Mississippi have entered their third week of a water crisis. The historic winter storm that caused the crisis in Texas also devastated parts of Mississippi devastated with no sign of help. People can’t even use the bathroom, shower, get proper access to food, or do anything as needed to survive.
Over 80% of Jackson’s population is Black -- which is why it’s no surprise that the government has neglected these communities and their needs.
And since we keep us safe, organizations on the ground have set a goal of $2 million to get supplies to folks in Jackson. Can you help hit that by midnight tonight for our people in Jackson?
100% of the proceeds will go to the People’s Advocacy Institute and their efforts to help our communities in need in Mississippi.
