This won’t be Murray’s first tough race. In her past five elections, she defeated four Republican congressmen and a two-time gubernatorial nominee.
As a unique voice in the United States Senate, Patty is known for her down-to-earth, determined style. She’s been called “a workhorse, not a show horse” by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer for her intense, behind-the-scenes efforts to get the job done. She has also been described as "tenacious" in her work to address Washington state's needs by the Seattle Times.
Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
The first $3,300 of each contribution from an individual, and the first $5,000 of each contribution from a multicandidate PAC, will be allocated to the primary election. Any additional amount, up to $3,300 from an individual and up to $5,000 from a multicandidate PAC, will be allocated to the general election.
