Juneteenth is a celebration of the day in 1865 that the Emancipation Proclamation was made official in Texas and enslaved people were made a free people in that state. Born in El Paso, Texas, Rep. Lee learned at an early age the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs and of fighting for equality for all.
Contributions to Congresswoman Lee’s One Voice PAC will support the election of a democratic majority in Congress.
