There's a local elected body that you probably never heard of, the Brownsville Navigation District Commission. They bring the biggest polluters and most dangerous jobs to the valley.
If we can elect a new group of people to the commission, we can bring better, safer industries to the Port of Brownsville instead. Good jobs that are safer for workers and healthier for the community.
And we can also protect things like access to fishing along highway 48, and access to sacred sites for our local indigenous people, the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas.
That’s why the Port for All team is running together, to work toward a better Port of Brownsville for all of our community, not just for business owners.
