After defeating a six-year incumbent Republican and flipping a Georgia State House seat in 2016, Sam has worked to push for healthcare access for all Georgians, fight for more funding for our public schools, and help Georgians pursue more economic opportunities so all of our communities can thrive.
Sam made history as the first Asian American Democrat and the first openly gay man elected to the Georgia Legislature. He's become a leader, serving as the House Democratic Whip and formerly as Chairman of the Gwinnett County State House Delegation.
Sam is ready to continue the crucial fight for equal dignity, freedom, opportunity, and justice for all — but he needs your help.
