Registered Nurse Lauren Underwood became the youngest African-American elected to Congress when she flipped IL-14 blue.


She then went on to help create the Black Maternal Health Caucus to address maternal health disparities in the healthcare system.


Last year, Lauren narrowly defended IL-14 by just 1.4 points, making it one of the closest House races of 2020.
