Re-Elect Kierstin for Supervisor April 2, 2024!

I am a mom, an advocate, and an organizer who knows what it is like to struggle to afford housing, face income instability, navigate public benefits programs, and raise a family here in Dane County. Stable housing — and the opportunity of home ownership through Habitat for Humanity — have made a huge difference for my family. I have experience advocating for my kids who have unique needs and I will continue to fight for every family to have the support and services they need to thrive. Please support my re-election for Dane County Supervisor of District 27 on April 2nd. 

First Term accomplishments:

* helped to pass additional funding for the Affordable Housing Fund in 2023 and 2024 budgets

* introduced 2022 OA-028 which added people with lived experience to Dane County’s Community Justice Council and its subcommittees

* lead sponsor for supportive services funding for community members participating in the Fair Chance Housing Fund program.

* worked with city leadership to bring resources to District 27 including county funding to support Fitchburg’s Teen Center project

* championed funding for youth programming and expansion of behavioral health services

* served as vice-chair on subcommittees to support and grow health care workforce and make funding recommendations for criminal justice reforms

Second Term priorities:

* Affordable Housing and Housing Justice

- increase affordable home ownership opportunities

- increase services to tenants in Fitchburg, -expand the Affordable Housing Fund.

* Holistic and Accessible Human Services

- expand youth programs

- create safe spaces for youth countywide

* Accessible and Transparent Governance

- incorporate a racial equity and social justice analysis into major county decisions

- eliminate language and other barriers

- engage communities most impacted in decision-making
