This month marks 400 years since captured Africans arrived in Jamestown, VA and America has yet to repair the harm caused by slavery. Despite this ruthless injustice, Black people have got each other and always have.
Much has changed since 1619, but Black people still continue to be exploited for wealth through economic exploitation, mass incarceration, and misrepresentation in media and culture. That's why we're working to uproot and dismantle white supremacy in elections, economics, the legal system, and the media.
Let’s claim this anniversary to celebrate the resilience of our people and 400 years of daring to dream of freedom in the face of unprecedented oppression!
