2025 Northern Orange NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet

The Northern Orange NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet is the branch’s primary fundraising event to enable us to carry out the mission of the NAACP in Northern Orange County. This year’s event will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at the Whitted Building located at 300 W Tryon St., Hillsborough, NC 27278.


The guest speaker will be Dr. Sonny Kelly, a world-class performer, storyteller, motivator, speaker, and comedian. He holds a PhD in communication and performance studies from UNC–Chapel Hill and founded Legacy Heirs Productions in 2022 as a vehicle to entertain, educate, and empower individuals and communities.
