Five More Years!

Hi friends!

October 28th is my five year stem cell transplant anniversary. I'm beyond grateful for all the extra time and memories I've been afforded the past five years. I’ve seen very dear friends get married and have children; I’ve watched my nephew grow from a newborn in the NICU into a hearty, opinionated kiddo; and I’ve shared meals and drinks with amazing folks in magical places.

Normally I'd have a big blowout celebration for this milestone, but we're living in unprecedented times. Not only are we still surviving a global pandemic, seeing the ravaging impact of climate change, and trudging through sustained expressions of racism and xenophobia, the values and integrity of this country are being threatened and challenged.

Despite how overwhelming all this feels, we have a choice. We have agency. We can do something to change the course of history.

My ask is this —

To celebrate this monumental anniversary, instead of buying me a drink at a bar, consider spending that money on a donation that will help fortify a few critical Senate races in this upcoming election.

The folks listed below are in close races with their conservative counterparts and need the most support in their states. Each donation, I believe, is an investment in securing our rights, liberties, and freedoms as an American people.

Thank you so much for being here with me during this crazy time. I can’t wait to see you again in person to celebrate the beauty that is life and the freedoms we’re fighting hard to keep.
