About Michael Feggans

Michael was raised for most of his life in the West Kempsville portion of Virginia Beach. A proud product of the Virginia Beach Public School system, he graduated from Tallwood High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force to pursue a career that would provide him with the opportunity to become an innovative leader.An alumnus of VA Tech, Norfolk State, and UVA, he values and understands the importance of education, both traditional and nontraditional. After 20 years of service in the Air Force, he knew that the best place to retire from the military and start his next phase as a tech entrepreneur was back home in Virginia Beach. With the creation of the new 97th House District, Michael is stepping forward once again to provide a fresh voice and to continue serving the community he loves.

About the Virginia House of Delegates

The Virginia House of Delegates is the lower house of the Virginia State Legislature. All 100 of its seats are up for election in November 2023. After we successfully flipped the House from red to blue in 2019, Republicans narrowly reclaimed the majority in 2021. However, thanks to a constitutional amendment passed by voters in 2021, a new independent redistricting commission has redrawn the district lines, creating more competitive seats than in any recent election cycle and giving Democrats a great opportunity to reclaim the majority this November. The outcome of this election will be critical for the future of Virginia's reproductive healthcare, gun safety laws, LGBTQ protections, environmental standards, and more.
