Shomari Figures, a Democrat, and former DOJ official has made it through to the general election in November. Shomari has a strong political legacy as the son of state Sen. Vivian Davis Figures and the late Senate President Pro Tem Michael Figures. He is dedicated to progress and service in Alabama politics. His experience as a deputy chief of staff to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland makes him an exceptional candidate who can bring positive change to the Second Congressional District.
