To celebrate Close the Gap’s 10 year anniversary, we’re aiming to raise just $20,026 more in our year-end appeal!

Over the last decade, Close the Gap has recruited community-driven, progressive women like Senator Caroline Menjivar and coached them to victory in California’s still male-dominated political landscape.


And as of today, 26 Close the Gap women have already stepped up to run for an open or flippable seat in the California Legislature next year!

Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
Federal tax law requires us to publicly report cumulative contributions of $200 or more. We may not deposit your contribution without your name, occupation and employer, and may not accept contributions of $100 or more made in cash. Contributions to close the gap CA are not tax deductible. Close the Gap CA is a registered 527 organization. Close the Gap CA is not a political action committee and does not make campaign expenditures or contributions to candidates.
