Right now, there’s nothing more important than making sure Democrats win up and down the ballot in Virginia on Tuesday, November 2.
Serving as Virginia’s lieutenant governor from 2002 to 2006 gave me the experience I needed to go on to serve as governor, and then as U.S. Senator. This position not only holds the tie-breaking vote in the Virginia Senate, helping get progressive legislation across the finish line but will directly affect the next generation of leaders in the Commonwealth.
