Across the country, extremists are gutting public health, defunding research, and stripping care from families. They’ve killed $500 million in vaccine funding, slashed Medicaid, and left millions facing skyrocketing premiums. They’re gambling with people’s lives for ideology and profit.

They didn’t count on us. They didn’t count on a movement that knows how to win progress, even in red states. 

We’re headquartered in South Dakota, one of the most conservative states in America, and in 2023 we mobilized victory and voters rose up to expand Medicaid coverage to 52,000 women and children. They did it over the objections of politicians who said it couldn’t be done. They did it because when Washington fails, the people lead.

That victory didn’t come from Washington. It came from neighbors organizing, communities refusing to be left behind, and voters who decided that health care shouldn’t depend on your income, your ZIP code, or your governor’s party. 

Now that same spirit is fueling fights across the country to restore vaccine funding, defend Medicaid, and demand real, universal care for everyone. We know how to win progress. We will not wait for permission to fight for what’s right against the right-wing.
