We need your help to protect and expand the pro-housing majority on the Cambridge City Council.
A Better Cambridge IEPAC will campaign for candidates who support these values:
- Housing abundance. Cambridge should have enough homes for everyone who wants to live here.
- Housing affordability. Every resident should be able to find a home in Cambridge that they can afford.
- Housing stability. Tenants should not be at the mercy of their landlords.
- Environmental sustainability. The single best way Cambridge can reduce carbon emissions is to build housing near transit, allowing more people to live sustainably.
Last election cycle, we knocked thousands of doors; sent mail to tens of thousands of homes; and 6 of our 9 candidates for council were elected. Our hard work paid off when Cambridge ended exclusionary zoning and legalized multifamily housing city-wide this February. This new housing supply will complement hundreds of permanently affordable homes under construction now due to Cambridge's Affordable Housing Overlay. Cambridge's leadership also helped win statewide relief from mandatory brokers' fees.
This year, in order to respond to local and national attacks on our progress and community, ABC IEPAC plans is to knock on 10,000 doors. Please support our campaign by making a donation.
