As a School Board member, I've championed vital initiatives for education such as pay increases for educators, mental health supports for students, securing safer school zones, and more. I will continue to be a voice for communities across our city and region on City Council.
🌍 "A Tale of Two Alexandrias" - my journey from Alexandria, Egypt, where because of corrupt dictatorship quality of life is poor and opportunities are few, to working minimum wage jobs through college in NYC, to proudly calling this city home for 13 years where I've found the freedoms and opportunities I left the other Alexandria seeking. I've served on city boards, as PTA president, and currently represent District C on the School Board.
🛣️ With 12 years in transportation, serving as a program manager, I bring valuable expertise to improve our transportation and infrastructure.
Together, we will enhance our city's quality of life, fund schools, ensure public safety, and address housing affordability.
