Many things have changed since 2018, but one thing hasn't: Our country is being led by a man and a movement that is systematically dismantling the rights, freedoms, protections, and liberties of its people.  

 

Here in Georgia, our Republican-controlled legislature dutifully follows the MAGA lead. Consequently, 100,000 people will lose their Medicaid benefits; productive immigrant families will live in fear of the horror of being rounded up, detained and deported; the choice of a few men will continue to restrain the choice of all women; and the dignity of those whose identities do not conform to the binary options forced upon them will continue to be eroded.

 

Georgia needs strong Democratic leaders who will bring a forward-thinking approach to standing up to those who will take our state backwards.  This is why I'm proud to announce that I'm running to represent Senate District 14 in the Georgia Legislature.
