Andrew Yang on the Issues

Andrew Yang is an entrepreneur who went to Columbia Law and is the child of Taiwanese immigrants. Yang's big idea is to provide every American, starting at age 18, a universal basic income of $1000 per month, regardless of employment.

Andrew Yang supports Medicare for All, but believes the proposal doesn't go far enough. He prefers single payer.

And Andrew Yang is pro-choice, would nominate pro-choice judges, and supports LGBT rights.

Andrew Yang also has some quirky promises to boot, including: "funding four-year American journalism fellowships for each congressional district, providing free marriage counseling for all, empowering MMA fighters and getting rid of the penny."

Yang is also a rather unique boss, as this Twitter thread explains. (Yang also announced on Twitter that he's going to pay $1,000 to a random follower who retweets him.)

Regarding the Democratic presidential primary debates, Business Insider says that even though Yang isn't leading the Democratic pack, "Yang has nothing to lose and everything to gain from finding a way to stand out on the debate stage. And he's consistently proven he's willing to do what it takes to set himself apart and get noticed — even if it's completely out of the ordinary."
