Chip in to Stop Pay Discrimination at the New York Times
The New York Times just fired their award-winning executive editor after she complained about being paid less than her male predecessor.
Now, the Times is saying that she was fired because she was "pushy" and "brusque" -- as if newspaper editors are supposed to be mousy pushovers. But they've replaced her with a man who by his own admission has such a bad temper he's repeatedly punched holes in the wall of his New York Times office.
If the New York Times is paying women less than men for doing the same job, the public has a right to know.
Can you chip in to run an ad on the New York Times website demanding they disclose how much they pay their male and female employees?
