Dr. Alma Adams is an art teacher with 40 years of experience. In Congress, she's known as the "Godmother of HBCUs" for her steadfast advocacy for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Erica Smith was a high school science teacher and "Teacher of the Year." Now, she's running in a highly competitive, open seat that we absolutely have to win to hold the U.S. House.
Both Alma and Erica were local school board members and both served in the State Senate. They have the exact combination of experiences that Congress so desperately needs right now.
