Help Three Educators in Their May Primary Elections
Dr. Alma Adams is an art teacher with 40 years of experience. In Congress, she's known as the "Godmother of HBCUs" for her steadfast advocacy for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Tony Vargas, a middle school school science teacher, is running in one of the most competitive, Republican-held districts in the country. He's the child of immigrants and a first generation college graduate who went on to become "Teacher of the Year."
Erica Smith was a high school science teacher, "Teacher of the Year," and State Senator. Now, she's running in a highly competitive, open seat that we absolutely have to win to hold the U.S. House.
All three were local school board members and all three served in the State Senate. They have the exact combination of experiences that Congress so desperately needs right now.
