Ad Astra - JoCo #ksleg Edition

The majority of us in Kansas couldn't be more overjoyed that we succeeded in protecting abortion rights here in America's heartland. But, unfortunately, without breaking the supermajority in our extreme Kansas Legislature, we know we'll have to continue the fight year after year.

The six races listed here are for campaigns based in Johnson County - the state's most populous where residents voted no on the amendment by a 36 point margin. A county that Biden won by only 8 points just two years ago.

These candidates have some of the best chances in Kansas at breaking the supermajority and keeping abortion access out of the hands of politicians but they need your help. Your contribution will be split evenly between the six campaigns, each of which have a $500 contribution limit per individual.

  • Dennis Miller (House District 14)
  • Allison Hougland (House District 15)
  • Courtney Eiterich (House District 30)
  • Vanessa Vaughn West (House District 39)
  • Brad Boyd (House District 49)
  • W. Michael Shimeall (House District 78)

Our Kansas state motto is Ad astra per aspera - to the stars through difficulties - and we're excited to see the twinkling of stars through the clouds in 2022.
