Both progressive Democrats and MAGA Republicans agree, it's time to fix this problem. 86% of Americans oppose lawmakers trading individual stocks. Clearly, this is a bipartisan problem that requires a bipartisan solution.
In January, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Brian Fitzpatrick reintroduced the Bipartisan Restoring Faith in Government Act. Now, a larger group with competing bills is working together to create a bipartisan consensus. Whichever solution gains the most momentum, it’s time to pass this much-needed legislation.
