Now, Trump has nominated Stephen Miran to the Federal Reserve Board. Miran has argued for giving presidents more control over the Fed and refused to stand apart from Trump’s agenda during his Senate hearing. If confirmed, he would open the door for Trump to manipulate interest rates and banking oversight for political gain.
