Americans for Financial Reform

Support AFR's Fight Against Predatory Green Lending Practices Now >>

Americans for Financial Reform (AFR) is leading the charge to protect consumers from predatory lending practices in the rapidly expanding green lending market. Our recent efforts have already made a significant impact, but the fight is far from over.

AFR led a coalition of 46 organizations in urging federal agencies to strengthen consumer protections for green lending products. As a result, the CFPB, FTC, and Treasury Department have released new solar lending scam advisories and complaint procedures.

It’s important that the green lending market grows, but we need strong consumer protections too. Predatory lenders are always looking for new loopholes to exploit or laws to break. Federal agencies don't have the bandwidth to do the job alone.

That's where AFR comes in. We play a vital role in finding, highlighting, and promoting solutions to combat the worst offenders and protect consumers. Your support is crucial in maintaining this momentum.

Your donation will help us continue our work to ensure that the critical transition to clean energy doesn't come at the expense of vulnerable consumers. We're creating a financial system that works for both people and the planet, but we need your continued support to make it happen.

Thank you for standing with us in this crucial fight.
