Support AFR's Fight Against Private Equity's Healthcare Takeover Now >>

Americans for Financial Reform (AFR) is leading the charge to protect patients and communities from the devastating effects of private equity's takeover of our healthcare system. Our recent efforts have made significant waves, but the fight is far from over.

AFR's hard work was on display at a recent Senate hearing on Steward Health Care's mismanagement. Despite Steward's CEO defying a subpoena, our research and advocacy helped inform a damning 28-page Senate committee report exposing the broader impact of private equity on healthcare. We're seeing increased scrutiny of private equity's role in hospital closures, staff cuts, and declining quality of care. Our latest poll shows that three-quarters of voters are worried about Wall Street firms owning healthcare companies, including hospitals.

But as private equity firms continue to treat hospitals like cash machines, the risks to patient care and community health grow. These firms are always looking for new ways to extract profits at the expense of vulnerable patients.

That's where AFR comes in. We play a key role in researching, exposing, and offering solutions to combat private equity's harmful practices in healthcare. Your support is crucial in maintaining this momentum.

Please make a donation right now to help us continue our work to ensure that our healthcare system prioritizes patient care over Wall Street profits. We're fighting for a healthcare system that works for all Americans, especially those in underserved communities, but we need your continued support to make it happen.

Thank you for standing with us in this crucial fight for the health of our communities.
