Americans for Financial Reform

Fund the fight to protect communities from climate disaster economic devastation now.

Whether it’s flooding in Texas, fires in California, hurricanes in Louisiana, or ice storms in New England, there’s no part of our country that isn’t impacted by climate change and the disasters that come with it.

That’s why, alongside our partners, we created a NEW Guide for State and Local Governments to Protect People Financially in the Lead-up to and Aftermath of Climate Disaster, to help local governments, renters, homeowners, and survivors take action.

The guide provides real solutions from rent moratoriums to foreclosure protections, insurance regulations, anti-fraud enforcement, and more. It helps communities avoid the financial aftershocks of climate chaos, before it’s too late.

This is life-saving, justice-driven work, and we need your help to keep it going.

Your support fuels AFR’s climate financial justice work by helping us expand access to the EJII guide, pressuring lawmakers to act, and building resilience in communities most at risk.

From fossil fuel accountability to preventing disaster capitalism, we’re pushing for structural change. But the guide is just one step. With your support, we’ll use this work to keep fighting to protect people over profits, before and after the storm.

Contribute to Americans for Financial Reform and fund the fight to protect communities from climate-driven economic devastation now.
