Americans for Financial Reform

Fund the fight to stop Congress from slashing housing support now.

The House is moving forward with an FY2026 spending bill that would gut nearly $1 billion from HUD, including eliminating the HOME program, slashing eviction prevention, and cutting Fair Housing enforcement by 67 percent. These cuts would drive more people into homelessness, make rent hikes more likely, and strip away vital protections for the communities most at risk.

If we don’t act now, families across the country will pay the price, losing their homes, their dignity, and their futures.

Americans for Financial Reform is fighting back. We're mobilizing advocates, applying pressure in Congress, and standing with our allies in housing justice to stop this bill in its tracks. But we can't do it without your help.

Your support will power the fight to protect renters, defend public housing, and stop Congress from turning its back on those who need support the most.

Contribute to Americans for Financial Reform and fund the fight to stop this dangerous housing budget attack now.
