Americans for Financial Reform

Fund the fight to save the CFPB from Russ Vought’s shutdown plan now

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has delivered real results for millions of people. It has returned more than $21 billion to consumers who were cheated, canceled debts, reduced junk fees, and held powerful corporations accountable.

That success is exactly why it is under attack.

Russ Vought, acting head of the CFPB and a key figure in Trump’s economic agenda, is actively working to shut the agency down by cutting off its funding and halting its work. His strategy would dismantle the only federal watchdog dedicated to protecting people from financial abuse.

Americans for Financial Reform is fighting back. We are working with members of Congress to expose these attacks in hearings, providing the research and data that helped hold Vought accountable, and leading a national coalition to defend the CFPB in Congress, in the courts, and in the public arena.

But taking on Wall Street and its allies requires sustained resources. Your support will help fuel the advocacy, research, and organizing needed to stop efforts to dismantle the CFPB and protect the agency that has delivered billions in relief to consumers.

Contribute to Americans for Financial Reform and fund the fight to save the CFPB from Russ Vought’s shutdown plan now.
