The African American Fire Fighters Historical Society has worked tirelessly for 15 years to highlight the stories of Black firefighters, ensuring they’re recognized and remembered. Because far too often, our stories are lost to history.
We’re excited to announce our latest initiative: the International Black FireFighters Museum, located in the historic Oliver Community Firehouse at 1220 East Oliver Street.
The museum will showcase a collection of artifacts, documents, and exhibits that chronicle the history of Black firefighters across the globe. This will provide insight into the challenges and triumphs of these heroes through the past and present.
But we can’t build this museum alone. We’re humbly asking you to support our project by donating $1, $5, $25 – or whatever you can – to help us raise additional funds that will go directly towards this project!
