Committee To Elect Afroz Khan
A resident of Newburyport since 2005, Afroz Khan is eager to serve another term on the Newburyport City Council. During her first term, Afroz has co-sponsored seven orders/ordinances focused on senior tax benefits, resolutions on sewage discharge and transgender rights, waste management policy and transparency in public meetings. Afroz works as an electric power engineer with The Forward Curve. She and her husband, Ahmer Ibrahim have two daughters, Arissa (13) and Anya (10). Both of them attend Newburyport Public Schools.
