Do you remember where you were when you heard about Newtown? Do you remember how horrified you felt when you read about the loss of all the babies and the heroes who protected them? I do. I'll never forget.
Also I will never forget when I was told about a friend who committed suicide with a firearm he had access to despite years of known alcoholism and depression. Not too long after, I when my friend called me late at night telling me yet another friend was shot to death by her husband leaving 2 precious boys parentless. That was the last straw for me. I joined Moms Demand Action for Gunsense in America to be with a national organization that fights for common sense gun reform to keep guns out the hand of dangerous people. Moms Demand Action uses science, data , and common sense to make effective changes in laws while supporting our 2nd Amendment rights. We teach parents how to keep their weapons securely locked and unloaded away from children, watch for signs of suicide, model responsible firearm ownership and talk to friends and neighbors about their own firearm practices when our children are at their homes on play dates. If you agree that this is important work, please make a tax deductible contribution to help meet my fundraising goal of $1000. I appreciate your support.
