Help the fight against Leprosy, Malaria and Waterborne Diseases in Biombo, Guinea-Bissau, West Africa
Since 1998, Aizan Charitable Organization a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation has had a team in Guine-Bissau making a positive difference and saving lives. When Guine-Conakry bordering the country became the epicenter of the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in 2014, our team of heroes traveled to the border towns to educate the communities about infection prevention and in such saved many lives. Because of those concerted efforts, no confirmed cases of Ebola disease was reported in Guinea-Bissau.
Biombo is a short drive from Bissau, the capital city of Guinea-Bissau. The capital of the region is Quinhámel. There has not been any regional government administration since the civil war of 1998-99 that ravaged the Republic of Guine-Bissau. The population is struggling against all odds. Before the arrival of the Codiv-19 pandemic, the people of the region of Biombo were already fighting to survive against ever increasing cases of Malaria, Waterborne diseases and Leprosy. We are determined to tackle the aforementioned diseases and in concert with your commitment to save lives and bring a better tomorrow for the people of Biombo Guine-Bissau. Your generous collaboration and donations from you and your circle of influence, will make it possible to build the first clinic in Biombo to address that lack of resources and venue to provide medical care. It will be possible to provide prevention activities and effective epidemiological vigilance. With early diagnosis and treatment, Leprosy can be cured. It is possible to alleviate or prevent the suffering of the people of that forgotten region of Guine-Bissau.
The Gould Family Foundation has generously made available a prototype design for an outpatient clinic (exam rooms, lab + pharmacy) with a maternity wing, and a wing to provide dental care and oral hygiene education to thousands of impoverished children and parents will be added. An agreement with U.S Doctors for Africa will allow us to receive three forty feet containers of medical suppliers with only the cost of shipping and handling the donated containers.
We would like to thank you in advance for your commitment to this achievable goal and with our experience on the ground we will endeavor toward the eradication of Malaria and address the human behavior that often lead to drug resistance.
