Alex Burgos for NYS Assembly Kick-Off Fundraiser

Join Alex Burgos for his official campaign kick-off fundraiser as he launches his campaign to represent New York’s 149th Assembly District, which includes Buffalo’s West Side, Elmwood Village, Black Rock, Riverside, Canalside, Hamburg, Lackawanna, Blasdell, and surrounding communities.

Alex Burgos is a lifelong Buffalo resident, West Side homeowner, and experienced public servant who has spent his career working alongside community organizations, labor, and government partners to deliver real resources for working families across Western New York. Raised in a union household by a retired Buffalo Public School teacher and a U.S. Army veteran and Niagara Street small business owner, Alex’s commitment to public service is deeply personal.

Throughout his career, Alex has helped lead public health outreach efforts, secured funding for community-based organizations and small businesses, supported neighborhood revitalization initiatives, and worked across multiple levels of government to turn policy into real-world impact. He has organized community events, supported block clubs, advocated for access to healthcare and public safety, and helped bring investments directly into local neighborhoods.

This kick-off event marks the beginning of a people-powered campaign focused on strong neighborhoods, working families, public safety, economic opportunity, and making sure every part of the 149th District has a voice in Albany.
