The Montana chapter of Moms Demand Action is working on Wear Orange Day. We plan on having at least three events across Montana to draw attention to the gun violence epidemic across the country.
Approximately 93 Americans die every day from gun violence and as a result, more and more Americans are directly impacted in some form or another. Wear Orange Day is a way to bring attention to this issue that people are sometimes hesitant to talk about.
In addition to the thousands lost each year to gun violence, hundreds more die because of unintentional -- and, for the most part, 100 percent preventable -- shootings. As some of you may know, my cousin's sweet son, Grady, was shot and killed by an unsecured handgun last August. He was 9 years old. Had the gun owner practiced common-sense firearm safety, Grady would still be with us today.
Please donate to help us put on family-friendly events across Montana to draw attention to this issue and help us save lives. Our Montana chapter will benefit from your generosity, allowing us to train volunteers and educate the public about ways they can help stop gun violence and promote responsible gun ownership. Thank you!
