I’m Alison Clarkson, and I am seeking re-election to the Vermont State Senate. Thank you for considering a donation to my campaign.

As we have navigated the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, state legislatures have been at the center of efforts to protect and strengthen our communities. Federal funds have allowed us to make historic investments in Vermont and Vermonters. As Senate Majority Leader, I have helped lead the Democratic Caucus in passing these transformational changes.

I am proud of our accomplishments. We brought diverse stakeholders together to reform the state pension system. We shepherded constitutional amendments onto the ballot this November that will enshrine the right to reproductive freedom and clarifies references to slavery from the State Constitution. And we invested in our workforce, housing, and climate change mitigation. There is more to be done, however, and in a period of turnover in the Vermont Senate, experienced leadership will be a necessity.

I believe that caring, inclusion, and decency are critical for our success as a country, as a state, and as a community. These values will guide my work in the legislature as we seek greater progress on such critical issues as climate change, affordable housing, and economic and social justice and opportunity.

After a virtual campaign in the 2020 cycle, I am eager to return to the campaign trail this summer and fall. I look forward to reconnecting with my constituents throughout Windsor County and building relationships with voters in our district’s two new towns of Thetford and Pittsfield.
