Alis is running for the Virginia State Senate to build economic opportunity and an affordable future, protect our environment, and strengthen our schools and workforce development.

 

She is motivated by a deep belief in the importance of service to country and community. After 9/11, Alis joined the CIA as a Middle East analyst, and later worked in the private sector advising on national security issues. Currently, she serves as the Mason District Planning Commissioner on the Fairfax County Planning Commission.

 

Alis was born in Southwest Virginia to immigrants from Taiwan, and has lived with her wife, Amy, in their home in Falls Church since 2015. She is ready to fight and deliver results for our District and the Commonwealth she loves.
