Alis is running for the Virginia State Senate because it is time for accountable leadership and putting people over profits. She has spent her career serving her country and community and turning complex problems into real solutions.
After 9/11, Alis joined the CIA as a Middle East analyst, and later worked in the private sector advising on national security issues. Currently, she serves as the Mason District Planning Commissioner on the Fairfax County Planning Commission.
Alis was born in Southwest Virginia to immigrants from Taiwan, and has lived with her wife, Amy, in their home in Falls Church since 2015. She is a longstanding community leader and is ready to fight and deliver results for our District and the Commonwealth she loves.
