In 2020, I never thought I would have the honor to serve my community in the Michigan House of Representatives. You helped make that possible, and we hit the ground running, serving as the youngest House Majority Leader in Michigan’s history, leading the nation’s most comprehensive clean energy laws in the country, advancing workers’ rights, and using my platform to speak out against the genocide.
It is easy to get jaded in politics, but absent of courage in leadership, cowardice and corruption further take root. We have a chance to come back to the Michigan Senate and continue on the work for a politics of greater justice.
