Support Texas Democrats & AMERICAblog Action

Republicans have already passed voter suppression laws in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas and Montana. And now they're targeting Texas.

These modern-day Jim Crow laws prohibit voting immediately after church, make it illegal to give food and water to people standing for hours in the sun to vote, and even ban you from driving more than a handful of friends to the polls.

Their goal is to stop Black and brown people from voting.

This isn’t about the sanctity of our elections, it’s about stealing them.

Texas Democrats recently stopped Republicans from passing an awful voter suppression law in that state. But Texas' Republican governor has vowed to call a special legislative session to once again try to limit the voting rights of minorities in particular, and Democrats overall.

If we’re going to continue having free and fair elections in this country, we must support the good work Democrats are doing in Texas.

AMERICAblog is doing a joint fundraiser for the Texas Democratic Party to ensure that progressive leaders in that state have the resources they need to stop the ongoing GOP vote grab.

I can’t imagine a better way to upset the GOP than a bright blue Texas. So please join the effort, and let’s win big – Texas big.
