Donate to Andy Katz for Assembly

Andy Katz is a Democrat running for Assembly in the 15th District. He is a workers' rights attorney, environmental leader, and champion for public health and working families.

Andy is serving his eleventh year as an elected Boardmember at the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), the governing body that ensures clean, reliable water in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Andy previously worked as Government Affairs Director for a statewide lung health organization, fighting for clean air and expanding health care access. He is a former Chair of Sierra Club California, and represented Sierra Club in the UN climate negotiations. Andy recently led negotiations resulting in the Berkeley City Council unanimously voting to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour in 2018.

Andy's experience makes him uniquely qualified for this office. He has worked to protect our environment, clean up our air, fight for workers impacted by wage theft and wrongful termination, and create good jobs. He has a deep commitment to education, to social justice, and to improving the lives of those he serves. His values reflect the progressive values of our District.
